He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Waltrip and Commie Waltrip; and his sisters, Bessie Knight, Lena Mae Crabtree and Nancy Brackett.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Waltrip; his children, Carlin Waltrip, Harlin Waltrip, Timothy Waltrip, Bonnie Barr, Vickie Connor and Debbie Rekoski; his sister Bernice Belcher (Kenneth); and his stepsons, Ronald Lee Heep (Joni) and Michael Lynn Heep (Cindy). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
