He was predeceased by: his former wife Paula Jean; his daughter Karen K. Ruffalo; his siblings, Elwood Hines and Betty Nance; and his half-brother Orville Leisure.
He is survived by: his former wife Pamela Hines; his children, Sandra Fender (Frank) of Murray, William Hines of Owensboro, Erin Bukhari of Owensboro and Sally Gomes (Joaquim) of Owensboro; and his sibling Hilda Wood of Branson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
