He was predeceased by: his parents, Onie Johnson and Ersa Miller Johnson; his wife Dona Johnson; his sons, Kenny and Robert Johnson; and his siblings, Charles, Clifford Johnson, Wealdean Roach and Lorene Coolege.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Lindsey (Robert) and Michael Johnson; and his sister Linda O'Bryant. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
