He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Sue Burgess; his siblings, Edwin Milton Burgess and Dorothy Faye Clark; and his parents, Edwin Burgess and Ollie Mae Burgess (Burnett).
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Burgess; his children, John Burgess, Thomas Burgess (Sarah) and Kendall Burgess-Moraitis (John); his grandsons, Samuel, Andrew, Benjamin and Theodore; and his brother Donald Burgess (Donna). He is also survived by his two sons and daughter and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to the Joe Ford Nature Reserve Park, Owensboro Habitat for Humanity, 2930 W. 4th.
