He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank David and Mary Elizabeth Mills Buchanan; his wife Mary F. Buchanan; and his sister Sharon Kay Buchanan. He is survived by: his former wife Mary Frances McKinney; his children, Joseph Buchanan (Delisa) of Clay, David Buchanan (Phyllis) of Corydon and Carol Shelton (Brian) of Sturgis; and his siblings, Carl Eugene Buchanan of Henderson, Larry Buchanan (Shirley) of Henderson, Delores Edwards of Owensboro and Joyce Sheffer (James) of Henderson. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
