He was predeceased by: his brother Paul Staples. He is survived by: his wife Marilee Staples; his children, Karen Staples (Greg Clark), Sharon Cross (Kenny), Tamara Williams (Dallas), Marilyn Staples, David Staples and Patricia Winn; his stepson Bryan Pearson; and his brothers, Joe Staples (Ann), Kenny Staples (Sheila) and Robert Staples. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
