She was predeceased by: her parents, Graham Smith and Helen Smith; her husband William Bedford Kirk Sr.; her daughter Nancy Kirk Schroader; and her sister Annette Cornell.
She is survived by: her children, Martha Gipson (Mike) of Habit, Amy Shearn (Lyndon) of Lewisport and William Bedford Kirk Jr. (Katie) of Charlotte, NC.; and her grandchildren, Morgan Hall (Matt), Ford Kirk (Eden), Erin Hardy (Jake), Josh Gipson (Leah), Mary Helen Roe (Daniel), Katie Shearn, Kirk Shearn (Ashley) and Paul Shearn (Kami). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
