She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Helen and Glenn Cornell; her grandson Patrick "Jake" Nelson; and her brother Jack Cornell. She is survived by: her husband James H. Nelson; her children, James Nelson Jr. of Owensboro, Denise Nelson of Owensboro and John Nelson (Jenny) of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Samantha Cail (Cody), Johnny Nelson, Hunter Nelson and Dylan Nelson; her great grandchildren, Elaina Cail and Emila Cail; and her siblings, Glenn "Buster" Cornell, Barbara Hawthorne and Betty Jo Barker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; in-laws and closest friends.
