He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Ferguson and Ollie Mae Ferguson; and his sisters, Goldie Hagan, Judy Clark and Bonnie Sanders.

He is survived by: his wife Debra Paris Ferguson; his son Rick; his daughter-in-law Lynsie Ferguson; his grandchildren, Reid Alexander of Owensboro, Harper Evelyn of Owensboro, Gentry Tilman of Owensboro and Anniston Kate Ferguson of Owensboro; and his brothers, Marvin Ferguson (Brenda) of Owensboro and George Ferguson (Suky) of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by six nephews.
