He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arthur and Maureen Ruby Baird; his former wife Audrey Baird; his wife Dottie Baird; and his siblings, Robert Douglas Baird, Dora Howard (Dodie) and Joan Payne.

He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Elliott (Jerry) and Scott Baird (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Brent Elliott (Amy), Brooke Land (Sean), Blake Ferguson (Lee), Scott Baird Jr. (Jennifer), Sherri Huskisson (JJ), Stacey Burden (Andy) and Stan Baird (Megan). He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren, and several cousins.
