He was predeceased by: his sisters, Martha Virginia Gillim and Betty Sue Yeiser. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Melhiser Hale; his children, Beth Hale Worthington (Carl) and David A. Hale (Julie); and his brother Murray O. Hale (Judy) of Owensboro. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
