He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold D., Sr. and Mrytle Rhodes Carter; his son Stephen Wayne Carter; his siblings, Gladis Brooks, Dick Carter, Earnest Gene Carter and Roy Carter; his stepson Kenny Daughtery; and his son-in-law Doug Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Janice D. Carter; his children, Diane Miller, Susan Lagenour (Claude), Jeff Carter (Patty) and Scott Carter (Tonya); his stepchildren, Karrie, Keith and Kris Daughtery; and his siblings, John D. Carter of St. Louis, Anne Carter Haines of Orlando, Billy Ray Carter of Owensboro and Millwright. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
