He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Higdon and Eloise Ambs Higdon; his son Scott Martin Higdon; and his siblings, Ruth Ann Higdon and Kevin Higdon.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Higdon (Jarboe); his daughters, Sherry Moore (Brian) of Villa Hills, Kim Little of Louisville and Johanna Brown (Bryan) of San Antonio, Texas; his grandchildren, Ethan Moore, Clara Moore, Hannah Little, Aubrey Brown and Connor Brown; and also, Ed Higdon (Ellen) of Owensboro, Connie Nugent (Jerry) of Owensboro, Jane Strehl (Gene) of Owensboro, Phil Higdon (Diane) of Owensboro, Angela Aull (Mike) of Owensboro, Ben Higdon of Owensboro, Bernard Higdon (Debbie) of Paducah, Rita Johnston (Hal) of Falls and Brenda Higdon of Martinez, CA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
