He was predeceased by: his father Michael O. Pate; and his sister Kim Canary. He is survived by: his mother Judy Mattingly Pate; his siblings, Karen Wahnsiedler (Ryan) and Aaron Pate (Megan); his nephew Patrick Canary; his nieces, Amber Bridges, Emily Wahnsiedler and Kate Wahnsiedler; his great-nieces, Sophie Bridges and Lainey Bridges; his cousins, Corey Mattingly and Gwen Roby; and also Jacobe Crowley.
