Alice Marie Clary Tanner Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Marie Clary Tanner of Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Clary and Katie Peckenpaugh Clary Sr.; her husband Samuel Morton Tanner; and her siblings, George Clary Jr., Franklin Clary, Bill Clary, Robert Clary, Loretta Pendleton, Nina Goldsberry, Alta Grant and Ruth Guinn.
She is survived by: her children, Glenn Tanner (Pam) of Hartford, Larry Tanner (Lisa) of McLean County, Karen Bickel (Scott) of Owensboro, Jerry Tanner (Patty) of Owensboro and Greg Tanner (Beth) of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Logan Midkiff (Sarah), Zack Tanner (Lori), Nick Tanner (Tora), Jake Tanner (Jaclyn), Jared Tanner (Davi), Jason Tanner (Natalie), Jodi McCarty (Nick), Jonathan Tanner (Rebekah), Sarah Tanner, Rachel Bailey (Travis), Brad Clark (Mandy), Brandon Clark, Becca Bogucki (Eric), Cameron Howard (Elissa), Andi Howard, Jayden Howard, Tyson Howard and Keylan Howard; and her sister-in-law Linnie Clary. She is also survived by 39 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Living Hope Community Church (1709 Alexander Ave, Owensboro, KY 42303). A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at the Owensboro Memorial Gardens (5050 KY-144, Owensboro, KY 42303).
