He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Ann Elliott. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Julia Louise Wright, Robert Dale Tobias, David Gregory Tobias and Donald Warren Tobias; and his stepsons, John R. Whittington (Kimberly) and Richard Whittington (Alesia). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
