She was predeceased by: her parents, June Robinson and Gracie Hurley Robinson; her husband Richard Kates, Jr.; and her siblings, Floyd, Lester, Arthur Robinson, Ethel and Verda Johnson.
She is survived by: her sons, Roy Keith Kates of Orlando, Troy Lee Kates, Gary Lynn (Krista Kates) and Coy Duane (Sue Kates); and her sister Fairy Cope of Disputana. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
