It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Smith of Orlando, Kentucky, who passed away on August 15, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Smith and Leath Bowman Smith; his wife Linda Earlene McGuire Smith; his daughter Cynthia Lynn Smith; and his brothers, Denzil Smith and Kermit Smith.

He is survived by: his son David Smith (Jessica) of Orlando; his brother Gardie Smith (Marie) of Brodhead; and his grandsons, Logan and Landan.
