She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Peters and Hallie Peters (Collins); her husband James "Sonny" Gay; and her siblings, Ralph Peters, Raleigh Peters, Bonnie Peters, Gladys Knochglman, Essie Bowling, Edna and Maude Peters.
She is survived by: her children, Russell (Mary Beth Gay) of Oneida, KY. and Robin (Jennings Combs) of Oneida, KY.; her great grandchild Joshua Sutton Scott Mathis; her sister Irene Bowling; and her close friends, Wilma Nunn and Darlene Gay. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
