With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Walter McGlothin in Olympia, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, William McGlothin and Mary McCarty McGlothin; his daughter Laverne Deim (John); and his siblings, Eugene, Bill, Woodrow McGlothin, Bell of Nevada, Marcha Highley, Elsie Lyons, Rita Crouch and Patricia Moody.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Moore McGlothin; his children, Walter "Wayne" McGlothin of Olympia, Kentucky, Deborah Kaye Osborne (Robert) of Lake Butler and Kathy Congleton (John) of Richmond, Kentucky; his stepdaughter Joan Norris of Lexington; his grandchildren, Andy Fritz (Ashley), Leslie Hensley (Joey), Kristen McGlothin (Charlie), Shane Goldie (Katie), Dana, Angie Osborne, Jordan, Madison and Jayden Congleton; and his close friend Pauline Kesler (Chuck). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Michael R Gray Funeral Home (89 Slate Ave, Owingsville, KY 40360). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Oldfield Cemetery (4531 KY-36, Owingsville, KY 40358).
