With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Leo McKenzie of Olympia, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sherwood and Clara Nell Johnson McKenzie; his sister Kay Phillips (Justin); and his parents-in-law, Harold and Inalee Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Johnson McKenzie; his sons, Rob McKenzie (Tiffany) and Jason McKenzie (Sabrina); his grandchildren, Brittany Gay (Chris), Ashley Sunley (Matt), Nathan McKenzie, Dawson Rogers and Lorelai McKenzie; his great grandchildren, Colton Sunley, Bode Sunley and Rylee Grace Gay; and his siblings, Joan Becraft (Steve), Cindy Cline (Randy), Gary McKenzie (Nisi), Dennis McKenzie (Cheryl), Marty McKenzie, Greg McKenzie and Mark McKenzie (Branita). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lakeview Community Church (581 Cave Run Lake Rd, Salt Lick, KY 40371). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at the McKenzie Family Cemetery.
