He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Smith and Eleanor Skaggs Smith; and his wife Judy Clark Smith. He is survived by: his children, Michael Smith and Debra Smith of Olive Hill, Kentucky.; his siblings, Dewey Smith (Sylvia), Johnny Smith of Olive Hill, Jimmy Smith (Cheryl) of Michigan, Ella Grimm (Buddy) of Olive Hill, Kentucky. and Lois Benson (Al) of Olive Hill, Kentucky.; and his grandchildren, Joshua Sparks, Jozie Banas, Nathan Smith and Jordan Smith.
