With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin McDowell of Olive Hill, Kentucky, born in Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on December 28, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl McDowell and Marie DeHart McDowell; and his parents-in-law, Carl Burton, Jim Carroll, James Thomas Burton and Elizabeth Jones.
He is survived by: his son Jeff McDowell (Laura) of Grayson, KY; his sister Lyda Sue Rice (Billy Don) of Olive Hill, KY; and his parents-in-law, Les Burton (Reatha) of Lexington, KY, Lois Carroll of Olive Hill, KY, Lowell Burton (Paula) of Caseyville, IL and Pam Burton of Grayson, KY. He is also survived by his grandchildren.
Due to the COVID pandemic, face coverings are required and social distancing will be observed.
