He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Baker and Nora Wicker Baker; his wife Dora Bailey Baker; and his children, James Ray Baker and Greta Sue Baker.

He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Collins of West Jefferson, OH; his sister Betty Jonas of Florida; his grandson Ryan Collins (Natalia) of Williamsburg, VA; and his great grandchildren, Isidora, Seraphinna, Macy and Ivan.
