Charles Edward Tackett Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Edward Tackett Sr. of Olive Hill, Kentucky, born in Carter, Kentucky, who passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert and Lina Carroll Tackett; his wife Kathleen Fisher Tackett; and his siblings, Gladys Binion, Lottie Smith, Othel Tackett, Blanch Carter, Aileen Duncan, Betty Duncan, Robert Tackett and Garnett Mays.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Tackett Jr. (Kimberly) of Bellville, Stephen Tackett (Christine) of Plymouth, Myron Tackett (Sherry) of Elgin, Randy Tackett (Margaret) of York and Michelle Braden (Wayne) of New Boston, Michigan; and his sister Helen Patton of Olive Hill. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, extended family, church family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mills Branch Apostolic Church (376 Mills Branch Rd, Olive Hill, KY 41164). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the same location.
