He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Gilliam and Ruth Mabry Gilliam; his wife Nellie D. Porter Gilliam; and his brothers, Roger Dale Gilliam and Emil "Eddie" Gilliam.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Gilliam (Carol) and Tammy Jean Gilliam of Niles, Ohio; and his siblings, Charles "Starkey" Gilliam (Iris) of Niles, Stevie Gilliam of Olive Hill, Beverly Oakley of Olive Hill and Linda Sue Povinelli (Joe) of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins; and other extended family.
