Allene Hughes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allene Hughes of Olive Hill, Kentucky, who passed away on December 31, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Thompson and Emma Carey Thompson; her husband Joe Hughes; her daughter Linda Sue; her siblings, Jay Thompson, Kathleen Thompson, Naomi Thompson and Francis Thompson; her great grandchild Torre Wooten, Jr.; and her brother-in-law Robert Christian.
She is survived by: her uncle Arthur; her aunt Mary Carey Thompson; her children, Danny J. Hughes of Kansas and Cheryl Ann Lybrook (late Bruce) of Kettering; her sister Dorcus Marie Christian; her nephew Michael Todd Christian of Abingdon, Virginia; and her close friend Dana Bowling. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Northcutt & Son Home For Funerals, Inc. (400 Fraley Dr, Morehead, KY 40351). A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Byron Cemetery (3256 Trebein Rd, Fairborn, OH 45324).
