She was predeceased by: her parents, William C. Quarles, Sr. and Amy Lula Dickerson; her husband Joe M. Watkins; her children, Carolyn Canty and Christopher Oneal Quarles; and her siblings, William Clarence Quarles, Jr., Annie Sue Quarles, Isaac Quarles, Virgie Quarles, Yvonne A. Quarles and Angela Quarles.
She is survived by: her children, Celetia Quarles, Catel Jones (LaJon) and Cyrius Quarles; her siblings, Ora Louise Bell, Callie Jean Chambers, Bettie Womack (Qullie), Vernon Quarles (Janie), Joyce Henderson (Walter), James Quarles (Angela), Clarissa Hopewell (John), Lydia Quarles, Lawerance Quarles and Bryant Quarles; her niece Geraldine Tucker; and her close friend Donald Finn (Duck). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild.
