He is survived by: his mother Laila Denise Shafer Russell of Indiana; his sons, Silas Sexton (Amanda) of Summerville, SC and Chester Sexton of Ashland, KY; and his siblings, Rodney Sexton (Laura) of Indiana and Krista Upchurch of Indiana. He is also survived by his five grandchildren; and his two great-grandchildren.
