He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Basinger McGary and Jesse Watkins McGary; his former wife Rose McGary; his wife Mary Lee McGary; and his brothers, Edwin McGary, James McGary and Bob McGary.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Sharon Denise Adams of Nortonville and Debra Hulsey (Scott) of Nortonville. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home, Inc. (134 N Main St, Madisonville, KY 42431). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at the Odd Fellows Cemetery (805 W Center St, Madisonville, KY 42431).
