He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Clair and Edna Pennington, Sr. (Davis) of Liberty; and his daughter Tara Lynette Pennington. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Gamble Pennington; his children, Christi Carlton (Heath) of Kuttawa and Jared Pennington (Ashley) of White Plains; his grandchildren, Courtney Taylor (Greyson) of Cadiz, Sierra Carlton of Kuttawa, Tara Pennington (Sean Menser) of Nortonville, Abbie Carlton of Kuttawa, Sol Pennington of White Plains and Gracie Pennington of White Plains; his great grandchildren, Braxton Taylor, Alexis Taylor and McKinley Menser; and his siblings, E. C. Pennington, Jr. (Linda) of Hebron, Judy Emerson (Tony) of Liberty and Jodie Pennington (Melinda) of Coppell, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
