He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Rose and Juanita Rose; his daughters, Sherri Huckleberry and Madora Kerr; and his brothers, Foster Rose and Lloyd Rose.

He is survived by: his wife Faye Knight Rose; his son Darrell Kirwan Rose, Jr. (Caryn) of Greenville; and his grandchildren, Devina Ker, Allen Kerr (Amanda), Mikale Pryor (Ken), Brandon Laster (Alicia), Justin Laster, Brooke Aders (Ben), Desirea Mercer and Darralyn Rose. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
