She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ellis Scarberry and Ruby Jewell Castle Scarberry. She is survived by: her children, Steven Wayne Burgess II (Ashley) of Richmond, Kentucky, Andrew Blake Burgess of Richmond, Kentucky and Amy Brooke Burgess Smith of Nippa, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Jack Steven Burgess and Lydia Raine Smith; and her siblings, Linda Bentley of Nippa, Brenda Lemaster of Lowmansville, Deborah Heuser of Nippa, Karen Salyer of Staffordsville, Marsheila Baldwin of Leander, Kentucky, James Scarberry of Loveland, Larry Scarberry of East Point and Jerry Scarberry of Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
