He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Lyons and Lydia Meadows Lyons. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Faye Castle Lyons; his daughters, Robin Meek (Phillip) of Tutor Key and Jennifer Ferguson (Chris) of Wittensville, Kentucky; his siblings, Clarence Lyons of Nippa, Kentucky and Winnie Hamilton of Paintsville, Kentucky; his siblings-in-law, Janice Castle Bone of Wabash, Brenda Castle Watson of Dayton, Sylvia Castle of Swamp Branch, Sally Lyons of Marion, Ohio and Dan Schmidt of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Amberly Miller (Ryan), Ashleigh Meek, Donovan Ferguson and Faith Ferguson; and his great grandchild Xavier Miller.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home (807 S Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240).
