He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Lou Hammer; and his parent Estalean Hammer. He is survived by: his son David Hammer (Leslie); his grandchildren, Christopher Hammer, Ryan Hammer (McKenzie), Logan Hammer, Cameron Correll (Daniel) and Drew Ginter; his great grandchildren, Benjamin Hammer and Hudson Hammer; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Lane (Maxine), Rodney Lane (Barbara) and Kenneth Day (Donna). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care or theUnited States Department of Veterans Affairs.
