He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Gillard Kentz and Nellie Osborne Kentz; his grandparents, Willie, Agnes Osborne, Andrew Kentz and Nellie Gillard; his stepson Byron J. McCann; and his nephew Aaron J. Duke.
He is survived by: his wife Linda McCann Kentz; his stepchildren, Lynitra McCann and John Michael McCann (Kelli); his sisters, Eileen Kentz Meads, Arleen Kentz Jones, Jannice Griffith (Gerry) and Bernice Russell (Barry); his uncle Fred Pettus Sr.; and his aunt Clara Osborne. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and many other relatives and friends.
