He is survived by: his wife Judy Bumpase-Carter; his brothers, Robert Carter and William Carter, Jr.; his brothers-in-law, Dale Bumpase and David Bumpase; his children, Diana Bumpase-Beard, Stephanie Bumpase and Shawn Bumpase; his grandchildren, Taimarquis Bumpase of Louisville and Spirit Bumpase; his siblings, William Saunders (Gaynell) of San Antonio, TX, J. C. Mitchell (Renee), Greg Mitchell, Sr., Joan Warren (Tim) and Michelle Carter; his siblings-in-law, Troy Bumpase, Theresa Lear, Allyson Carter, Brenda Bumpase-Gray and Aracelis Hogan; his close friends, Bro. Thomas Dade and Ora Mae Franklin; and his cousin Rev. Stanley "Pat" Baker of Louisville, Kentucky.. He is also survived by One great aunt, several nephews, and nieces.
