It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Himes (Nicholasville, Kentucky), who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband J. Alvin "Rosie" Himes; her daughter Susan Towse; and her brothers, Robert Rice, James Rice, Leroy Rice and Jack Rice.

She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Napier (Baxter); her sister Marilyn Johns; her granddaughter Anna McCalla (Kevin); and her son-in-law Larry Towse. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Per the family's request, please do not send flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
