She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas James Goins; her parents, Robert Lee and Flore Bell Deakins Sams; her granddaughter Tiffany Michelle Cheek; and her siblings, John Lewis Sams, Edna Mae Hobbs, Elizabeth Conkright and Judy Ann Sams.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Sue Cheek (Doug) and Mary Margaret Conrad (Gordon); and her grandchildren, Connie Carter, Fern Kay Clem, Marsha Slone, Stephen Cheek and Phillip Cheek. She is also survived by several great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.
