He was predeceased by: his grandmother Mary Frances Starnes. He is survived by: his children, Brittany Mattingly, Alexis Goe (Kimberlyn Lykins) and Katie Goe (Woody Bush); his grandchildren, Baylee Lykins, Penelope Gates, Phoenix Gates, Annebelle Day and Nataleigh Phillips; and his brothers, Chris Gilhaus (Melanie), Bryan Gilhaus (Desiree) and Kevin Austin.
Michael's family suggests that donations be made in his memory to help with funeral expenses.
