It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Roberts Thornton (Nicholasville, Kentucky), born in Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on August 8, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Francis Arthur Roberts and Betty Cramer Roberts; her children, Allison Andersen (William) and Jared Thornton (Lisa); her siblings, Molly DePerna (Woody) and Tri Roberts (Valerie); her granddaughter Katelynn Andersen; and her husband Randall Joseph Thornton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators or the Woodford County Humane Society.
