Mel was predeceased by: father Palmer Charles Lesch; brother Paul; and also Lucy. Mel is survived by: husband Seith Miller; mother Rebecca Thompson Lesch; sibling Jett Pennington; close friend Rebekah Eleazer; aunts and uncles, June, Jeff Thompson, Mary, Phil Busman, Liz, Pete Thompson, Nick and Connie Lesch; and cousins, Scott, Alex, Katheryn, Jacob, Melody, Matthew, Megan and Amanda.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of Central Kentucky or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
