She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Brumfield and Mary Lou Brumfield of Nicholasville; her son George Bernard Lockridge; her granddaughter Kathryn E. Lockridge; and her brothers, George and Bob Brumfield.

She is survived by: her sons, B. Russell Lockridge (Vickie Lockridge) of Chicago, Gerald Lockridge of Pasadena, CA and Thomas L. Lockridge; her grandchildren, Matthew Lockridge, William Lockridge, Hannah Lockridge Wright, Samuel Lockridge and Madeleine Lockridge; and her great grandchildren, George, Willow, Chip and Walker.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home (207 W Oak St, Nicholasville, KY 40356). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.

“I've known Mary Esther for many years. She was my sister in law. We are the same age and we share lots of memories. She was outgoing and very friendly and always ready for a good laugh. She was a very talented pianist. I want to extend deepest sympathy to Rusty, Tom and Jerry along with their families. Rest in peace Mary Esther. A life well lived. Bernadean and Lynn”
