We are sad to announce that on August 3, 2023, at the age of 98, Louis Allen Whaley (Nicholasville, Kentucky), born in Maysville, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Allen and Margaret Whaley (Curley); his son Steven Whaley; and his sisters, Marie Dickson, Virginia Belt and Betty Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Lillie Whaley (Charles); his children, Robin Steininger (David) of Harrodsburg, Mark A. Whaley of Burgin and Michael Whaley (Michelle) of Fayetteville, GA; his siblings, Phoebe Collins (Jack) of Mayslick, KY and James Whaley (Bernardine) of Maysville, KY; his grandchildren, Aaron Steininger (Setsuko), Sean Steininger, Rachel Spencer (Matthew), Vincent Whaley and Mikaela Whaley; and his great grandchildren, Alexander Steininger, Hope Spencer and Brooks Spencer.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Catholic Diocese of Lexington, KY attention Robert Watts, 1310 West Main Street, Lexington, KY 40508 (for the Gardening Project at St. William Church in Lancaster, KY).
