He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Kay Derrick (Gary) and Tammy Diane Cox (Tommy); his siblings, Richard Burton (Elizabeth), Samuel Burton (Christina), Mark Burton (Linda), Betty June Steele (Jimmy), Brenda Meyer (Weller) and Ruth Slone (Ned); his grandchildren, Keith Derrick (Taryn), Deanna Derrick, Ryan Derrick, Kevin Cox (Nicole) and Kasey Cox (Jeremy); his great grandchildren, Rhett Derrick, Kellen Derrick, Austen Derrick, Macey Cox, Makenzy Cox, Marshall Cox, Bailey Cox and Bella Cox; and his friend Norma Vanover. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
