She was predeceased by: her father Frank Benke. She is survived by: her husband Dr. David C. Smith; her daughters, Carrie Widman (Paul), Christine Smith (Brett Meyer) and Beth Smith (Miguel Lazaro); her sisters, Marsha Mangan and Chris Garner (Jim); her sisters-in-law, Diane Sasse, Sharon Billingsley (Gene) and Sherry Sasse; and her granddaughters, Kate Widman, Ella Widman, Nora Lazaro Smith and Sofia Lazaro Smith.
