He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Smith and Ruth Thelma McKinney Smith; his sisters, Lorene and Viola Smith; and his sisters-in-law, Esther Davis and Twinkie Floyd.
He is survived by: his son Jonathan H. Smith (Alissa); his granddaughters, Remie and Bracie Smith; his siblings, Lester, David, Denver, Jeff, Ed, Ronnie, Elby Smith, Vivian, Wanda and Norma Smith; and his brothers-in-law, George Hager and Billy Floyd.
