He is survived by: his wife Betty Black; his children, Julie Anne Dowdell (Aaron) of Versailles, KY, David Manning Black (Stephanie) of Versailles, KY and Shannon Frasure (Tim) of Stamping Ground, KY; his grandchildren, William Jennings Dowdell, Samuel David Dowdell, Bennett James Dowdell, Amelia McAllister Black, Norah Manning Black and Morgan Frasure; his sister Anna Keys (Dean); his nephews, Jeffery "Monkey Jeff" Keys and Mark "Bird Man" Keys (Gina); his close friend Tony Ackerman; and also Steve Gray.
