He was predeceased by: his parents, Golda Hibbs and Joseph Henry Cannon, Sr.; and his siblings, Dorothy, Marie, Pat and Bob.

He is survived by: his children, Sheri Coots (Earl) of Summersville, WV, Shelly Newman of Glencoe, KY, Henry Joseph Cannon, III (Jaqueline) of Georgetown, KY and Cathy Cannada (Bryan) of Georgetown, KY; and his brother Ron. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
