It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elmer Barnes (Nicholasville, Kentucky), who passed away on April 2, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Tom Barnes, Marion Barnes, Adrian Johns, Anna Katherine Barnes and Louise Barnes; and his children, Marcella Barnes and David Allen Barnes.
He is survived by: his children, Frances Lee Stokley (Ernest), Connie Van Dyke (Bill) and Jeffrey Barnes (Tammy). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.
The family suggest contributions be made to the American Legion Post 63 Honor Guard; 129 Forest Gate Rd, Lexington KY 40515.
